Founder's Note

My interest in fashion began early, influenced by my family, the people around me, and an instinctive curiosity about personal style. My roots in Assam and its rich textile traditions further shaped my curiosity about design and the way fabric can carry a sense of identity and place. I have always been drawn to pieces that balance strong design, quality and functionality—clothing that feels considered, but never complicated. My background in political science, journalism and photography has shaped the way I observe and approach design. Over time, that perspective and my evolving relationship with fashion led me to create Ansan. To me, Ansan is about making clothes that women genuinely want to live in. Pieces with intention and character, designed for the many versions of a woman’s life. Modern, sensual and always effortless.
